Spotlight On...

November 30, 2008 – The “FfD Toolkit” was launched in Doha UN Financing for Development Meeting to increase the capacity of governments, development agencies & donors to mobilize the private sector for development.
The Global Clearinghouse for Development Finance is aimed at providing cost-effective information and communication mechanisms to mobilize the private sector for development. Support has been provided from the United Nations, Norwegian government, Ford Foundation, and for the last six years, the Swiss government.

Urgent development needs for poverty reduction, job creation, and improved living standards cannot be achieved without significant and sustained investment by the private sector.
